International Plaza transforms into the Ice Palace, a 30-foot dome with snow! Depicting scenes from Disney’s Frozen this is a must see for the whole family. The Ice Palace will be open during mall hours daily through Dec. 24.

‘Tis The Season For Holiday Cards

Oh boy, it’s the Holidays. You know they are officially here, not when Black Friday hits, or by the continuous Christmas music being played EVERYWHERE you go, but by when you start receiving Holiday cards. You know the ones I mean… You haven’t spoken to that person in years but yet once a year the send you a “Happy Holidays” card in the mail. Cards sent have pictures of new babies, newly married couples, you get the traditional ones and sometimes a hilarious ones such as the ugly Christmas sweaters. A big thing in Florida is to send our friends and loved ones in the cold country, know to us Floridans as “The North”, the Holiday cards with a beach on the front at least once (to rub it in of course). DECEMBER 5TH

Tampa’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Curtis Hixon Park – 600 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa, FL 33602
Friday, December 5, 2014
6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Free admission

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. enjoy sounds from the Late Night Brass and Karl & DiMarco Singers. Magic 94.9 will even be there for the Secret Santa Giveaway.

The evening will include a countdown to light the tree with Mayor Buckhorn, a Christmas Market offering holiday treats and gifts, and a free movie in the park featuring Arthur Christmas.  Tampa’s Downtown on Ice will also be open during the event.
Admission is free, but they ask everyone bring a teddy bear that will be donated to children in our local hospitals as part of the Rough Riders Annual Teddy Bear Drive. Blankets, low back chairs, coolers and dogs on leashes are allowed. Concessions will be available.

“The Rotary Club of FishHawk-Riverview would like to announce on Saturday, Dec. 7th t, we will be holding our 29th Annual Alafia Lighted Boat Parade and Chili Cook Off. We have two boat entry divisions: Large Boats of 23 ft and above and Small 31st Annual Alafia Lighted Boat ParadeBoats 22 ft and below. Cash prizes totaling $1,500.00 will be divided among the 1st and 2nd place winners in each division. The public is invited to view all the boats and partake of all the planed events. Twinkle In Tampa Bay: A Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

The Holiday Lighted Boat Parade takes place on the 20th of December at 6:30pm along the water by Davis Island, Harbour Island and the Channelside District. Come watch these festively decorated boats illuminate the sky and spread holiday cheer. Come down to Channelside Bay Plaza and enjoy the parade from the open wharf! You will be able to see the parade along the a great stretch of land from Davis Island to Channelside. Channelside Bay Plaza, located in the Channelside district of Tampa, is near downtown Tampa and easily accessible from the Selmon Expressway as well at I-4 and I-275 and a great place to enjoy yourself before or after the parade. Parking is available at several public parking lots. At Channelside you can find a wide variety of restaurants from Hooters to Bennigan’s and everything in between. Across the street from Channelside is a multi-level parking structure.
