DECEMBER 5TH

Tampa’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
Curtis Hixon Park – 600 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa, FL 33602
Friday, December 5, 2014
6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Free admission

Festivities begin at 6 p.m. enjoy sounds from the Late Night Brass and Karl & DiMarco Singers. Magic 94.9 will even be there for the Secret Santa Giveaway.

The evening will include a countdown to light the tree with Mayor Buckhorn, a Christmas Market offering holiday treats and gifts, and a free movie in the park featuring Arthur Christmas.  Tampa’s Downtown on Ice will also be open during the event.
Admission is free, but they ask everyone bring a teddy bear that will be donated to children in our local hospitals as part of the Rough Riders Annual Teddy Bear Drive. Blankets, low back chairs, coolers and dogs on leashes are allowed. Concessions will be available.

2014 Santa Fest and Rough Riders Holiday Parade

The 2014 Santa Fest and Rough Riders Holiday Parade is happening in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on Saturday, December 6th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.! Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park is transformed into a winter wonderland.

Tampa Santa Fest and Rough Riders Holiday Parade

The parade will begin at Morgan Street and Madison Street travel west on Madison Street to Ashley Drive, turn north and end at Ashley Drive and Cass Street.

31st Annual Alafia Lighted Boat Parade
Alfa River/Showmen’s Event Center – 6915 Riverview, Drive, Gibsonton
Saturday, December 6th, 2014
5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

“The Rotary Club of FishHawk-Riverview would like to announce on Saturday, Dec. 7th t, we will be holding our 29th Annual Alafia Lighted Boat Parade and Chili Cook Off. We have two boat entry divisions: Large Boats of 23 ft and above and Small 31st Annual Alafia Lighted Boat ParadeBoats 22 ft and below. Cash prizes totaling $1,500.00 will be divided among the 1st and 2nd place winners in each division. The public is invited to view all the boats and partake of all the planed events. Starting at 5pm there will be Music, Entertainment, food and libations, Kids rides and activities, free photos with Santa, a Chili Cook Off and Silent Raffle, event will end at 9pm. Public entrance into the event is free and will be held at the Showmen’s Club, 6915 Riverview Dr., Riverview, Fl. “Historic Holiday Spirit In Ybor City” Get there early to grab seats and watch the pre-parade entertainment starting at 6 p.m. along historic 7th Ave. Mayor Bob Buckhorn and family will kick off the parade and snow turning the city into a winter wonderland! Come cheer on all the floats, marching bands and live performers as snow falls throughout the parade for an experience unlike any other in Tampa. No parade would be complete without jolly old St. Nick ending the parade with photos in Centro Ybor near the Christmas tree. This is one of the fastest growing holiday events and also plays host to the largest number of local marching bands in the area!  – Read more 

Apollo Beach Lighted Boat Parade

Twinkle In Tampa Bay: A Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
Channelside Bay Plaza, Tampa, FL 33602

Begins at 6:30 PM

The Holiday Lighted Boat Parade takes place on the 20th of December at 6:30pm along the water by Davis Island, Harbour Island and the Channelside District. Come watch these festively decorated boats illuminate the sky and spread holiday cheer. Come down to Channelside Bay Plaza and enjoy the parade from the open wharf! You will be able to see the parade along the a great stretch of land from Davis Island to Channelside. Channelside Bay Plaza, located in the Channelside district of Tampa, is near downtown Tampa and easily accessible from the Selmon Expressway as well at I-4 and I-275 and a great place to enjoy yourself before or after the parade. Parking is available at several public parking lots. At Channelside you can find a wide variety of restaurants from Hooters to Bennigan’s and everything in between. Across the street from Channelside is a multi-level parking structure.
