St. Patrick’s Day Events Around The Tampa Bay Area

St. Patrick’s Day, a day for green clothing, lots of clovers, green beer, festivals and parades around the United States. Tampa Bay is one of the greatest places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. We’ve compiled a list of events and entertainment that is great for the whole family, events for just the adults, and even local Tampa Bay runs for the runners at heart.  Hopefully this will help you plan for the St. Patty’s Day festivities that start today (March 13th) and run well thru the early wee morning of March 18th.

 

FRIDAY – MARCH 13th

Rough Riders St. Patrick’s Trolley Hop – Channelside Bay Plaza, 615 Channelside Drive, Tampa
6 p.m. – Just for the Adults – $20.00
More than a dozen Ybor City bars and restaurants offer specials for the annual Rough Riders St. Pat’s Trolley Hop. Enjoy food and more from local tampa bay restaurants and bars while hopping the trolley between them. To purchase passes and for more info click here.

Highlights include a puppy parade and costume contest, live music, Irish dancers, prizes for most Irish dogs and giveaways. Donate 7 pounds or more of dog food and get a free Irish beer.

Begins at Noon – Just for the Adults
Channelside’s new addition brings it on with five bars, five green beer tents, an ice fluge with Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey shots, a $500 Irish jig contest and two stages of entertainment for a mega St. Patrick’s Day party!

Irish invasion at Four Green Fields – 205 W. Platt Street, Tampa
10:00 a.m. – Just for the Adults
Four Green Fields opens at 10 a.m., with a lunch buffet of shepherd’s pie, corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew and fish ‘n’ chips until 2 p.m. Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones crank out the Irish music from noon until 2 a.m.

 

FOR THE RUNNERS IN TAMPA BAY

Bolt Run – Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Drive, Tampa
Saturday, March 14th – Run starts at 6:00 a.m. – Fun for the whole family
St. Patrick’s Day-themed runs on the flat streets around the arena and along the waterfront in distances of 5 miles, 5K and a 1-mile fun run. Includes tickets to that night’s home game against Winnipeg, pre- and postrace parties and a commemorative T-shirt.

Shamrock Classic 5K and 10K – O’Brien’s Irish Pub of Brandon, 701 W Lumsden Road, Brandon
Saturday, March 14th – Run starts at 8:00 a.m. – Fun for the whole family
The annual St. Patrick’s Day themed event includes your choice of 10K, 5K or 1-mile fun run/walk. An Irish-themed after party includes bananas, bagels and green beer.
